There are two reasons this test match is extremely important, Sri Lanka will be looking forward to seal the series and India on the other hand will have to answer a lot of questions in the form of their game. The gap with which India lost the last game was huge and hence the skipper Anil Kumble and his men can only hope for the better. However, the improvement as far as India is concerned has to be dramatic in all aspects, even if it just to level the series. If we look at the history, the last time India played against Sri Lanka, they lost the first test match by 7 wickets and then bounced back in the second test match and won it by 7 wickets. On the other hand, Sri Lanka has had a huge win and chances that they will let it slip are very few.
