Shoaib Akhtar Requests to Waive Penalty

Shoaib Akhtar was penalized by five thousand dollars (3 lakh rupees) for quitting the Karachi training camp before time and then not appearing in the succeeding penalizing trial.

Hence the fine was imposed on last Wednesday as he failed to turn up for the hearing. In response to this he exclaims that the penalty is not just as he wasn’t given a chance to explain his concerns. The records also prove that he was given a chance but Shoaib indicates that he was informed about any such hearing after two days.

The Pakistan Cricket board chief officer Shafqat Naghmi proposed a meeting with the ace bowler today in order to clear the issues regarding the last week. Akhtar happens to have clashed with the officials in regards to the fine imposed on him. The PCB chief assured of some miscommunication in this matter and will set up a committee to look further into the matter.

Although there are rumors of Shoaib not playing, he confirms that he is fit to play and is looking forward to make a remarkable contribution in the coming Twenty20 event.
