The time of a swing of declarations may perhaps be secondary, but the Board of Control for Cricket in India undertook a forceful attitude on the Indian players, existing and past, connecting the Indian Cricket League. Mr. N Srinivasan, treasurer of the cricket board, broadcasted that the board members collectively approved all the suggestions put before the out of the ordinary common conference. This translates to the fact that Kapil Dev ceased to be the chairman of the National Cricket Academy (NCA), with an instant effect, and all the other players who joined the ICL would definately not derive any assistance from the BCCI. Only yesterday, the ICL released its list of players.

This as you would expect means that Kapil will no longer be part of the cricket advisory board that was in recent times formed. It consists of mostly the former captains of India, including S Venkataraghavan, Ravi Shastri, Sunil Gavaskar, Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi and Krishnamachari Srikkanth, and was initiated to recommend the board from time to time, whenever necessary.

Henceforth, anyone who wants to associate with ICL will not be able to be a part of the BCCI activities and will receive no benefits from it. This is how the Board of Cricket in India has decided pretty much keeping the fact that one player cannot put its foot in both places. It is more of a decision based on the choices of the players, simply put; the players decide where they want to be.

Mr. Srinivasan couldn’t stress it enough on the fact that there would be a no way back for the players who decided to be associated with any other organization. This particular meeting had an hundred percent attendance and it all the decisions were carefully analyzed.
