Just For Cricket…

Jacques Kallis was excluded from the South African team for the much hyped Twenty20 World Championship and this in turn has provoked him to give up as a serving vice-captain of the squad. The player seemed unrevealing about his upcoming plans as an established international player, despite the fact that he ruled out the odds of a premature withdrawal.

He was quoted saying that he was carefully looking at options in regards to his cricketing career and this decision has come out of an emotionally disturbed Jacques Kallis. He announced it after a thoughtful weekend and also asserted how excited he was to be playing this tournament. Kallis was observantly disturbed and had plans on giving some memorable knocks in this tournament.

A highly self confident player like him would obviously think it to be a question on his future with being left out this tournament. However, he still hopes for the best of his career moves for the South African side.

The recently elected selector’s chairperson Joubert Strydom declared that Jacques was simply given some rest for the championship in accordance to the busy days ahead. In the midst of pretty few players contending for spaces in the high order, the selecting committee experienced that it would be good to conserve Kallis for the difficult ones and not jeopardise him in the Twenty20 system.

The South African chief executive Grenald Majola uttered dissatisfaction on the statements made by such a senior player. He assured of persuading him not to resign in a state of emotion and think it over again but the player was adamant of publicly announcing his resignation from the vice captain of the team. Jacques Kallis is a member of the cricketing association of South Africa and hence it would have been in favor of the association to adjust the matters with the association rather going public.
