A Competition of its Kind - India Vs. South Africa
Today there will be another high energy match as India plays against South Africa, the hosts. This is another decisive match that will decide the fate of the team that will move towards the semi-finals of the ICC Twenty20 World Cup. Both of these teams have given a tremendous performance in this series, especially India. However, if we go about comparing the wins, then Justin Kemp is the answer to India’s Yuvraj Singh. Both these playes have led their teams into victory and along with these two; both these teams are full of astonishing batsmen.
Now the situation here is that India has won against England and therefore there are three teams that are contending against each other to reach the semi final slot on this Twenty20 World Cup. So if India wins the match tomorrow it will be through with a comfortable margin. However, as far as the run rate is concerned, New Zealand is at the bottom and if India manages to triumph over South Africa over a heavy margin then its run rate will be equal to that New Zealand has right now. SO in that case, it will be India and New Zealand in the next round. But on the other hand, if South Africa wins then it will definitely go along with New Zealand.
Talking about the play, Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir are in great form along with the obvious Yuvraj Singh. Coming to South Africa, it is Graeme Smith and Justin Kemp along with the very stable Shaun Pollock and Mark Boucher.
Durban is a ground preferred by the fast bowlers. So in that case, South Africa might have an upper edge. The outfield this morning is quick and small and thence we might get to see some good scores again. No matter how much the captain of these two teams might seem out of pressure, many of those waiting for the match will have tickles in their stomach….
Probables for both teams:
India:
Virendar Sehwag, Gautham Gambhir, Robin Uthappa, Yuvraj Singh, Mahendra Singh Dhoni (wk, capt), Rohit Sharma, Irfan Pathan, Harbhajan Singh, Piyush Chawla, Sreesanth, RP Singh
South Africa:
Graeme Smith (capt), Herschelle Gibbs, AB de Villiers, Justin Kemp, Mark Boucher (wk), Shaun Pollock, Vernon Philander, Johan van der Wath, Albie Morkel, Morne Morkel, Andre Nel
