  • Every possible Indian cricket fan is waiting for tomorrow…The 6th One Day International between India and England is going to be played tomorrow at The Oval. To stay alive in the series, India desperately needs to win the match.Team India is already in its best spirits after the win in the 5th One Day and the key here is to keep up the momentum. On the other hand, things aren’t as best for the English team with the loss of their top player Ravi Bopara. He will not only miss the current series but will also be out for the coming 20Twenty World Cup. Along with Chris Tremlett has also been ruled out of the 6th One Day. There are some serious fitness concerns about Andrew Flintoff’s fitness. As a replacement England has brought about the 22 year old youngster Luke Wright. Luke happens to be one promising player in the team of England as he scored 56 runs off just 44 balls against India in a practice match. The only relief for England would be the return of Ryan Sidebottom and this can cause serious trouble for India. Sidebottom was the one that created a lot of upsets in the test series against India but it would be interesting to see him play the shorter version with the same inclination.

India had employed the 7 batsmen formula in the last match and it happened to work well with all the top order batsmen putting a good score. However, there are chances that they might use the 5 bowler formula to win against England. India happens to have a poor winning history at the Oval. Out of the last nine matches played here, India has won only two of them. Nevertheless, looking the team spirit, it would surely come as a surprise if India looses the match tomorrow. It is stated that the pitch might turn later during the day and this will surely help the Indian spinners.

The probable teams are as follows……

England: 1 Alastair Cook, 2 Matt Prior (wk), 3 Ian Bell, 4 Kevin Pietersen, 5 Paul Collingwood (capt), 6 Owais Shah, 7 Luke Wright, 8 Stuart Broad, 9 Ryan Sidebottom, 10 Monty Panesar, 11 James Anderson

India: 1 Sourav Ganguly, 2 Sachin Tendulkar, 3 Gautam Gambhir, 4 Yuvraj Singh, 5 Rahul Dravid (capt), 6 Mahendra Singh Dhoni (wk), 7 Dinesh Karthik, 8 Piyush Chawla, 9 Ramesh Powar, 10 Zaheer Khan, 11 Ajit Agarkar.
