India Vs Australia: Seventh One Day International at Mumbai
By Cricket ~ October 16th, 2007. Filed under: Australia, India, ODI, cricket.
One thing we all would agree to is that there isn’t much of an excitement left as far as the final one day international between India and Australia is concerned. Australia leads the series with a 4:1 ratio and its one last chance for India to come out with one last win.
Looking back at the series, Australia has a number of reasons to be proud of but if we look at the performance, Brad Hogg has been exceptional. With 11 wickets on his name, he happens to be the best bowler of the tournament. Quite a few matches were influenced by his bowling as it was his bowling that disrupted the Indian victories. Troy Cooley, the Australian bowling coach expresses his appreciation by praising his bowling variations.
The Indians on the other hand would be preparing themselves for the coming Twenty20 match to hold on to their world champion status. Taking a look at the Indian camp now, there are a whole bunch of rumors making rounds of resting Rahul Dravid and replacing his place with Rohit Sharma or Subramaniam Badrinath. On the other hand, Shreesanth is in news once again for his comments on putting a ban on him.
However, it would be wise enough to look at the final game with the right spirits, regardless of the win or loss. There is a lot more cricket in the coming days and it would be best to be prepared for the future and get rid of the past hang ups.
